How to skin a vehicle mod?
Hello
Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.
For example how would I go about skinning a truck, How would i go about making a different logo on the side etc? What programs are needed is there a basic guide to this please?

Cheers I did watch that, I was thinking of more on the painting side of an exsisting mod, Like get a box truck and put a logo onto the side of it etc.

That would simply be a case of creating a texture with a logo for that frame of the model.

Any imaging software will do and those should be fine.
Locate what files?

For example locate a truck/bus/car and find the texture file. I found the mods folder
Local disk/program files/steam/steamapps/workshop/content/255710 lots of downloaded trucks buses etc but no texture files? acually there are files with numbers but most have nothing inside

You cannot simply take an asset that has been published for the game and make alterations to it, or perhaps you can in the asset editor... it's been ages since I looked at that.
What you have to do if you wish to work on an existing asset is extract the asset so that you can export it to a 3D modelling program like Blender as the tutorial uses. You should be able to extract the mesh for export by using the Mod tools mod.
Once you have exported to Blender, you can reskin it and then import it back to the game.
