disable commercials on the radio?
Is there any way to disable the commercials on the newly added radio? I can see how it got added for immersion, but if I want to listen to commercials while playing a game i'll simply turn on a real radio station in the background.

they're the best part of the radio!

Given how short the playlist is, any break is a welcome bit of variety especially when it's as well done as these ads are. They are very amusing and I actually look forward to hearing about the old mill again, whereas I'll skip tracks if I have to listen to some of the songs again.
Just skip the ads if you don't wish to hear them.

I wouldl ike a station that is just the comic ads, and, maybe a station that is some kind of talk radio like from GTA V. funny stuff.

Turn it off. play your own music in the background.

Yeah, they were slightly amusing once, twice, but after that they're just old. I really wish there was an option to get rid of them, they're just distracting & annoying after a very few repetitions.

Each to their own. I find the radio station dlc idiosyncratic & irritating. Thankfully I can switch it off or choose not to buy any add ons.

Yes, same thoughts.
People who dislike the station breaks most likely NEVER played any GTA (Grand Theft Auto) game, because that's where that kind of thing started. The Radio stations are even more of a joy to listen to when you use the First Person Camera mod and are driving through your city in first person view. Now if there was actual crime in game to see while driving along though. At least there are a few minor clipping when you are driving along in first person view so you can imagine the clipping to be acts of wreckless driving. And those few random Cims standing all willy nilly in the middle of the street getting what looks like getting hit by the car is kinda satisfying as well.

The radio stations are really good, whether it's the music or the commercials. Just like in GTA... But I think the programs are too short and after a couple of minutes it becomes too repitative. I'd like too see the stations updatet from time to time with new music added and new commercials. Maybe less stations but more content. And some kind of "self radio" would be nice, just like in GTA where your own music is played, but integrated in a radio program.

If you don't mind using mods, get the CSL Music Mod as that does have an option of selecting which parts you want to hear in the CSL Music Mix channel it creates as well as access to additional sound mods that use it.

Until now I'm still waiting on DJ Jimmy Fries' station as I'd want to hear more of Clover :)

go to C: drive, Program files x86, steam, steamapps, common, cities_skylines, files, radio, commercial, common. once here, simply just add a different file for them and name them the same. i just had a 1 second empty file and named it all the different names of files.

No need to go so complicated: just rename the files! My advice is to just add a dot at the beginning of the name, so Windows lists them on top and you can easily undo it. You can basically just rename the whole folder "Commercial" to ".Commercial" and they are all gone :) I also did that with songs I don't like, now my Cities Radio is almost perfect!
