12 or 24GB RAM?
I have at the moment only 8GB of ram and my loading time is around 15-17min (I have 20+ mods and hundreds of props and assets)

so which one would you recommend me to get so that I could finally make an end to the horrible loading time. I can't even get the good feeling of the game anymore and uninstalling these mods is not a thing in my case.

I know Freshpopcorn runs 32GB of RAM and he has only 4min loading time which is nothing compared to mine.

What kind of system are you running on? Specs? If you could upgrade to 16GB or 32GB of ram that would be better. 12GB and 24GB of ram seems like an odd numbers and that's why i asked about your specs.

Oh yes my bad. I have 8GB of stock memory and if I buy one more RAM stick of 8GB i will have 16GB.

I checked my specs and they should be all good to go. But here they are: https://www.cnet.com/products/asus-cm-series-cm1855-fx-8120-monitor-none-series/specs/

More RAM is always good to have so my rule of thumb is to always have as much in there as you can afford. But I'm not how much it'd help with loading times if you're subscribed to a lot of mods.
And I'm planning on buying a Kingston 8GB (2 x 4GB), DDR3 1600MHz, CL11, 1.5V so I guess that would work on my system.

I agree. I do not want to over-pay what I honestly need either

I don't think more RAM will increase loading time, it will just mean less assets are being put into virtual memory, which is less stress on the system.

Also, 3 sticks is a bad idea. 4 or 2 is better. They should also be matching sticks.
RAM just determines how much information can be stored in memory. More RAM won't help with loading times, only how many assets it can handle.

For decreased loading times you'd need an SSD. I'd get the 16gb of RAM + an SSD if you can afford it, if you can't then I'd get SSD first and save RAM for later. Also 3 sticks is bad. matching chips of 4 or 2.

With SSD loading times went from 10 minutes to 30 seconds

Yes, this is your best option. If you do want more assets then go with RAM, however a SSD would decrease your load times. Whilst SSD's are considerably more expensive than a RAM upgrade, it's worth it. I've got an SSD and many of the programs I use from my SSD boot so much faster than on my HDD, especially my OS.

12 or 24 isn't an odd number, the first generation Core i7 systems were Triple Channel instead of Dual Channel

Thank you everyone for the info! I'll see if I will find a good SSD, funny thing is that I'm more than happy to insert only 2 RAM sticks, but they sell the 8GB sticks here in 4GB 2 pairs which sucks. So I guess I must try to find a separate 8GB RAM stick without a second one .. if that makes any sense

From 10 mins to 30 sec it's just a dream for me, and I think it will help loading and processing times for other games aswell not only C:S.

So i should upgrade to 256GB RAM?
No, allways only better if you need it

Check amazon they had some pretty good kingston SSDs for cheap not long back. You'll notice a vast improvement in faster loading for both OS and games! Stay away from Sansdisk ones, they're terrible. Had 3 die on me within 6 months. Got a Kingston one lasted 2 years with no slow down up to yet, I got a 500gb one for something like £30 if I remember right they're pretty cheap these days

Hm thanks I'll check it out from Amazon. I have many computer stores here which sell pretty cheap aswell.

I heard sandisk is ♥♥♥♥, I personally rather try to use Kingston.

Honestly, you'd be better off getting more ram. Alot of the games that are going to come out now will rely more and more on Ram, so the best way to enjoy them is to simply have more ram. If you can spare the money, I'd recommend getting as much 32GB ram hardware as you can grab. I also think, at this point that your processor will begin holding you back too. 3.5 - 4.1GHz (Fastest I've seen to date) is an optimum run speed about now, though in five years it'll prolly be more like 6.

IF you ONLY wanna expand purely for this game though, I'd recommend 24GBs. That should be more than enough, so long as you don't go tooooo crazy with the mods and assets downloadin'.

I'm not planning on doing any major upgrade to my system. Just something to boost loading times atleast by some minutes. Soon I'm 18yrs and I'll have an actual job so I can start to save up money on computer parts so I can start from a fresh table. My PC I now use is easilly something like 3-4 years old and even back then it wasnt the best one in market . Just something I could afford.
