Tram Depot Not Working (Solved)
Hi all. Hoping to get an answer here. I have set up some trams in my city. The tram line is “complete” but when I place the depot down it says depot not working, “needs to be connected to working lines”. I’m pretty sure I’ve done everything right but it won’t work. Any ideas?

Your tram lines ( running on roads with tram tracks) need all a route of tram tracks leading to the depot. Otherwise they won't head out to the lines you set up.

I did that. The route actually showed it going into the depot and heading back out, completing the line but it still didn’t work

Make sure you didn't lay any one way tracks that are disrupting the line.

No i didn't do that either. That's why i can't understand why is won't work

not only tram.. all transport also.

you builded a "new" depot and created new line, it's show "cannot find the depot".
just restart the game, it's will be worked.

i believe it's bugs.

Yes

Did you add Tram stops?

Should lay the depot down first before setting down rails. Also the line out of the depot many be crossing the other lines and not actually joining them.

Additonally, your Tram lines should be a loop.

2 things to try, provide another tramline connection into the depot if you can, and/or relocate the depot to another part on the line. I always put the depot out on a spur away from the routes.

I may have worked it out. In another part of my city I had already laid out the tracks. They were a loop. By coincidence I had laid the depot in the middle of the loop. It worked.

I assume what is missing is a loop in tracks. Or I move the depot to the middle of the loop

Excellent.

just edit your original title of this thread by adding [Solved]

So turns out I had multiple tram loops, but only one was connected to the depot. Make a connecting line between all the tram loops and the problem should be solved.
