Advanced Tree Brush Tool
As I understand it, trees can be placed individually, or with a brush tool.

But can we change the density trees are planted in the affected area?

And how cool would it be if we could select what types of trees are placed?

Eg. If I wanted to plant a forest that resembled a New England forest's variety vs ..... idk, an autumn red style, wouldn't it be nice to be able to do that easily?

Yes it will. But you'll need to find a different mod for it. You could search "New England forest's varitety tree brush. :steamhappy:

Here's a bit of a workaround. Get the "Move It!" mod. Plop down a cluster of trees, which ever ones you want, then copy-paste with the Move It tool using the marquee.

Hope that helps.

I'm sure I can find a work around. I just wanted to suggested a useful change.
I see so many people carefully placing trees, so forests are dense, and contain a special selection of trees.
Making that more, autonomous, would be useful, no?

And I gave you an answer to resolve your issue. Just go with it until a mod comes along that can do what you're suggesting.
