Acer Aspire E5-575G-57D4 able to Play C:S?
It is an i5 7200U and a gtx 940mx 2gb gddr5 variant with 8gb ddr4. I would like to know what settings I could play Cities on at 1080p and if it is even possible.

I dont know if this will help but this laptop can play CSGO at max settings no msaa 1080p at around 95fps.

The i5-7200U is very low powered. The U-series processors are ULV (Ultra Low Voltage) and are designed for long battery life. It will play the game a few tiles, but won't likely make it to 9-tiles full.

The 940MX should fare a little better and keep FPS around 30FPS and mid-zoom building level. You'll likely need to lower graphics settings as the city grows and lower resolution.

Definitely no workshop as they are extra loads on your CPU and RAM and you are short on both.

But high end system can only play around 40-60 FPS in bustling cities mod-zoom. This game puts priority on the CPU, so the GPU doesn't get much time for high FPS.

CPU is fairly weak. Try to get a laptop with an HQ series of intel processors instead of the U series. Intel's new kabylake-r low voltage processors with 8 threads might be worth looking into as well.
