SO Many dead people!
I have been playing city skylines for about 15 hours now and my city has 55 thousand people. My roads are slightly congested but not much. I have a real problem with dead people, i have 50 crematoriums, spread across my city and still there are many complaints. What can i do to fix this?

Well, it's either traffic congestion or zoning residential in BIG blocks all at once. Cims have a life cycle of c. 5-6 years in game. If you zone a lot of area all at the same time, then the cims who have moved in will die at the same time. See the wiki for more information:

Don't do anything about it. People will leave but get replaced by new cims who don't die all at once since they dont come all in one bulk. Ofcourse this is only a option if you have a big bank to survive the crisis

Thank you! Good tip sir. Worked for me.

This is the "death wave" effect of similar aged cims all dying at the same time. You can beat it before it happens by pruning your city. What I do is demolish a few houses with OAP's in an area until I have a rougly even spread of young/medium/old people and then just leave it.

Never had death waves again since I started pruning.

Yes indeed. It's going to just continue to happen isn't it? Just went through another, as you rightly say, "death wave". Pruning sounds promising. Certainly more efficient than having crematorium
on every block.

OAP's = Old A%% People? :)

Again, good tip thanks.

After further testing, it's strictly a traffic issue. Your vehicles are stuck in traffic, so they cant
get to the dead bodies in time. Fixed this issue by looking at a guide on how to setup proper
roads and alas, no more issues.

Traffic issue, make sure the morgues and graveyards have backstreet access and aren't fighting for traffic, the ambulance need to physically get there to take bodies away. I have 60k pop atm without body issues.

You can usually avoid this death wave altogether by just playing at x3 speed so they age faster when you zone much slower than time travels at x1 speeds. This will help age cims evenly as young cims are usually the ones moving into a fresh empty city.

Of course if you zone improperly, then you will get heavy traffic and it will stop hearses from picking up dead and cause abandonment.

Make sure your crematoriums are evenly spread out for better coverage.

Check the pollution info panel, and check if the drinking water is polluted. If it is, them move watertowers away from hte polluted areas. same goes to water pumps, use water treatment.
Build more hospitals, and make sure they are on main roads. Disable traffic light. It mgith solve the problem.

Keep a few empty graveyards around. They have lots of hearses which can be used to clear the corpses quickly. When all the dead are gone set them to empty again to be ready for another wave.

Graveyard range is a whole lot wider than incernator morgue as well.

Look up the nursing home mod, and nursing home assets, It really helps, moves all your seniors into nursing homes, and cuts down the amount of hearses needed, keeping your vehicle count down so you do not limit out when people are dying all over the map.

Some of the nursing home assest also provide office like jobs . I starting using them and it has greatly improved the game, keeps all of the senoirs in one location and keeps from having these death wave and ripples all across the map.

I would like to correct this post. Looks to me like the crematorium only strategy
is the issue. A combination of using both the crematorium and cemetery together
mitigates this for me. Seems the crematoriums cant keep up, even when they show
they have plenty of capacity. (Maybe some people don't want to be cremated.)
