Stadium question

So I know it takes 200k to build one, and when you when a match you get around 100k, but it seems when you lose a match you get nothing, not even the ticket sales. It also looks like you only get 1 match per year (could be wrong on this), and you have the option of subsidizing youth training for 9k a week. Why would you ever subsidize the youth training, as the costs vastly outweigh the potential profit, even if you win every time. Am I wrong on something here?

I can't remember exactly how much I make. I subsidize the youth. I think I'm earning around 26-36k per game, but I'll have to check next time I play.

They play pretty often on my game. I have Rush Hour though, but I also have random events turned off. They still do the game events. Also if you buy the stadium expansion you have have more stadiums in your city. And they play games at each stadium.

The subsidy may not be every week having tried it albeit not very attentively, maybe save the game and test this theory- the youth training sub may only get taken once or at least not be the weekly payment it states, I checked it and only seemed to lose 9k, maybe it only takes it in game week? Not sure how you'd check for sure, must be possible by checking budget.
