Water Pollution not going away?
So for about 3 years I used sewage drains because thats all I can afford and all I've unlocked, this is a vanilla run. Now that I've unlocked the treatment plant I place it, but none of the sewage goes away! Only in a very small radius. What can I do to get rid of it aside from a monument?

The Water Treatment plant only removes about 15% of the pollution from the sewage it pumps out, but it still pumps out polluted sewage. So, it won't pump out clean water and it won't clean the water it has already pumped out. There is no getting rid of your brown water, just a lessening of the amount that flows out. If you are pumping into a river, then the current will pull the sewage away downstream and to the sea.
As you mentioned, the Eden Project monument will improve that dramatically.
Alternatively, if you wish to use a mod, then there are mods that will change the colour of the polluted water. Or you could use this mod to completely remove all existing brown water from your map. To do this, use the mod to reset the sea level to zero - removes all water from the map. Then reset the water to the original sea level value. Make sure you made a precise note of exactly what that level was!

Alternatively, use this asset, not a mod, and keep all of your water pristine and clean ;)

Hope that helps ;)

I saw the two screenshots in your profile thank you.
It looks like when you placed down the drain pipes you placed the in an area where water does not flow like a river. so the dirty water just sits there. The best place to put drains is on water with big arrows on it. Those arrows should also lead away from your water pumps or you will pollute your people and they will die.

So what do I do now with the giant ring of sewage in my ocean..

That’s a good question if you want to get rid of it vanilla style. I don’t know. Though now that you are using the treatment plant, that ring is being ever so slowly pushed outward. In time that ring should fall off map... Should.

It would be nice to put something like a water spawner right there to get the water moving away faster, but that would take using the “Extra Landscaping Tools” mod.

You can install a water pump to pump out the dirty water, connect a short line of pipes to it butT DO NOT CONNECT IT TO YOUR WATER SUPPLY. That will work when there isnt enough natural flow to wash away the dirty water.
