How do I lower roads?

I know that pressing PageDown will lower a road, but it creates a tunnel. I want the roadbed to go down withouit the tunnel. I have seen examples of this in the workshop, but when I try to recreate it, I fail.

You need fine road tool mod.

you mean sunken roads....yeah you need fine road mod. I would also suggest road anarchy while you're at it.

You don't need any mod. You just have to remove some soil from the ground with the landscaping tool, and then place the road into the space that you've just opened.

I got the fine road mod. I tried the landscaping tool, but the result, at least as I did it, looked bad. Thanks, all.

Yea, but that's a pain. Just get the fine road tool.
