I have been having this bug for the past week all the airplanes to my city are locked in a loop flying around in my Airport is there any way to force the plane delete them.

I have this bug as well. You get rid of them by closing and reopening your airports. The planes will however come back again after a few minutes.

It isn't a bug, it is how the game works and by not understanding the mechanic, you are causing the issue.

You have a terminal linked to air routes that are connecting to multiple outside connections. This causes vehicles to be spawned at the outside connections and results in overspawning and congestion. Not only that, the loads per vehicles spawned will be shared, resulting in inefficient loads per vehicle.

It is the same for trains, boats and planes...
Use only one terminal to connect to a single outside connection.

In this case (if it is two outside connections), remove a piece of the air route (mod/s required to do so) to create two independent routes to each outside connection. Only allow one of them to be used by this airport and connect the other to a different airport. You will then have two airports connected to their own outside connection and the planes will have efficient loads.

The game loves spawning vehicles even if they don't have any cargo or passengers.

I would call this a bug in the game. You should not be forced to use mods to have two airports in a major city. Otherwise they should make it impossible to build more than one airport. And even if I remove one airport the planes still fly in circles above the now removed airport...

And as for trains I had to remove all outside connections cause no railroad system in the world would be able to handle all those trains.. My city has about 400k citizens and I hope it will be able to function without outside trains.

Try the mod: Remove Stuck Vehicles [1.6] by Chryssie, with the mod: Skylines Overwatch [1.6] by Chryssie.

I just got a bug once I placed the International Air port. My planes are not circling, but they are flying low, into the ground and getting stuck in the air (hovering forever)! I would love to buy the DLC for snow, but with so many glitches on the base game (I already have two DLCs) i don't think I want to invest more money into this game... so disappointing.

I found out that if I put two separate train lines in my city it works. One for outside connections only, and another international line that distributes throughout the city. It's more of a hassle, but it seems to work.

Have the same airport bug with only one airport, can't believe that this bug is still not fixed!

Don't use either of those mods as neither have any support and were last updated in 2015, use TMPE's remove stuck traffic feature instead.
1 - Don't use mods to make airplane faster, change acceleration or brake from them.
2 - Planes don't manouver well so give'em room, a airport near a mountain will do the same as a outside connection near a mountain. (Yes they do loop outside connections near mountains)

TM:PE will help, but eventually it will happen again, if you use AVO to slow down planes a little they will manouver better and stop looping, but will bring you new problems on your airports.

Just choose wisely where you will put your airport and from where the planes are coming.

Try the Airport line too mod cause the game treat outside connections as stations and people will take planes (or trains) to a outside connection wait a new plane (or train) spawn going to the airport (station) they want and go for it. A line between two or more airports will fix some of that behavior.

I’ve got the same problem. I started building this city on Monday. The airports and cargo air terminals were added on Tuesday morning and no circling. Planes taking off and landing like they’re supposed to. Yesterday same thing, no issues. Today I built an extension off the interchange that goes to the airport complex and put the ChirpX launch platform on the extension as well as some lower buildings that shouldn’t impact the landing path of the planes going to any of the airports. I go to a different part of the city and come back to find the tarmacs of both the cargo airport and cargo airport hub full of planes and planes circling over the two international airports in opposing directions. One group is going clockwise while the other group is going counterclockwise. Like I said, yesterday everything was functioning fine but today nothing’s moving on the ground and there are about 12 planes total circling in 2 groups. The link is a picture of my airport complex with the additions I made today.

There was a patch released today (3.5GB) that must have some bearing on this, try rebooting your pc see if that helps otherwise it's another bout of troubleshooting for us all..

So, to fix this problem for my city it was a 2 step process. First step was to establish a couple more air connections. My map only had 2 and from those 2 connections I was running 3 air cargo hubs, 1 cargo airport, and 2 international airports. Added 2 more connections and routes through the city.

Then I took a close look at how my airport area was set up; it was begging for disruptions. I had 3 different locations where a plane taking off or landing would have to wait for intersecting air traffic to clear. Moved my airport area’s cargo airport to the other side of the complex and positioned it so it would be more centered. Repositioned the air cargo hub so it was more centered as well. Went through 6 day/night cycles and there were no circling planes. Below are the before and after pics.
