You are much better off with Cities Skylines.
EDIT: spleing
So to get back there investment they rename the game every one and two years. It's more or less a scam. Hand's off!!
Nail ----> Head.
I would even rather play the horrible Sim City 2013 than ever touch cities XXL ever, if i had to choose one
Off-topic some more, but even though I have my old discs somewhere, I bought SC4 Deluxe today since Steam has it on sale for $5. Most, including myself, hail that as the greatest city builder ever, but wow, after an hour of playing, I couldn't get used to the antiquated graphics, square/grid-only roads, and bumpy roads (due to non-level terrain).
Nowadays the computers are also better and cities skylines is also much better
Citizens went to first free job they found and they returned in the evening to first empty house they found. That really didn't work well and thus you couldn't do anything for the traffic etc.
it was bad due to a piss poor launch, having to be online 24/7 which is dumb for a city builder, various bugs and glitches that made the game unplayabale (save wipes) and because EA can't just take what makes simcity 4 good and expand upon that because that would mean using their brains.
if you actually had played the game you would understand.
i because EA can't just take what makes simcity 4 good and expand upon that because that would mean using their brains.

Er, no. They made a decision to reboot the series, not continue the existing one purely for financial reasons. Why the plot size was so small, was in the fact that it was supposed to be ported for consoles and tablets too (SimCity Buildit) with minimal extra work and expenses. It all was gearing up for micropayments etc. to become a milking machine but what they didn't realize is that city builders on PC are more for the hardcore gamers and not for some casual gaming and these people don't like the way it headed. Hence the PC version go discountinued very quickly but mobile version still lives on making money.
