the bad graphics aren't bad thats LOD (greater Distance less Detail, setting Render/View Distance or LOD)
you can activate Steam FPS Overlay to watch were the lag occurs
The lag could be the only 8GB i would upgrade to 16 or even 32GB and have the game on SSD (data loading, more cache,...)
I was already planning to upgrade to 16 GB but because the price of the memory is very high at the moment (was cheaper before) I haven't upgraded it yet.
Is there anything to make the LOD look less, because most of the youtbers have such nice graphics and I never see lag at them (While they say they have 10 fps), is it because of video editing?
I already have cities skylines on my SSD.
the game is CPU heavy so every program in background slows the game down.
Video editing are you insane thats like running Cinebench (CPU or GPU) and using lots of RAM
but if you only mean Video recording (streaming) than its 10-20% less performance
So why do they have such nice graphics?
And I am going to think about more RAM (Right now).
and don't play on min settings, you should be able to play at mid to max setting for min 30fps
I deleted a lot of mods and all my assets.
The game runs a little bit smoother but I still have around 14fps when I zoom out and 7-8 when I am near the ground.
I don't really now what is causing this.
What do you mean with ''without AA''?
Edit: Right now I am building on an intersection and I have 4 fps!
Heat is no1 priority! Realise using that gtx card will heat up the case as well. Max the fans, make sure enough air is left to get to the cpu usually higher up in the case, the fan must be clear of dust, and the outtake fan should be at the back spewing hot air or you're not doing it right.
In my opinion, almost everyone burns through their cooling paste with this game sooner or later. It's a $1,50 paste between the cpu holder and the passive cooling block and fan, sealing it so no air can come between it. If your cpu ever been too warm, like 90 up to the devasting 105, you are looking at a paste renewal. Wich is scary to do yourself, but relatively easy. Judging this entire forum, 80% of performance issues are probably bad cooling.
But hey. Who is going to admit their beasts are being tackled by a $1 design feature. It's not like cmos batteries are a thing still, right? Right.
The cable between my monitor and computer was connected to my motherboard, not to my GPU. Now I have 60-80 fps and when I get at ground lever around 40 fps.
Thanks for helping me and I am still thinking about 16 GB RAM!
