Using emergency shelters kill my economy....HELP
I press the evacuate button in shelters to get my citizens to safety before disaster. At that time I have around 25k income and 1.1 mill in bank balance.

Shortly after issuing the evacuation order my income is -150k and my bank balance have been reduced to 300k. Is this supposed to happen?
I check my budget and all my expenses is running but my income is reduced to nothing.

If it is suppose to work like this, is is better to not evacuate at all. What can I do, is there any mod to fix this?

I appreciate all help :)

well i can just guess what happened.
since you evacuated all the citizen, nobody does any work at all, which means you wont earn money.

But why do all those expences keep going if there are no people around?

Probably because people are too busy evacuating to care about switching off electrics, heating etc.?

Even the city's distribution facilities? One would think there to be an automatic shutdown of power when a tsunami enters a city.

I find it strange that the developers have not included a automatic stop of expenses when shelters is used. Its ok that some expenses still run but not all. Very badly implemented.

The way shelters work now they will bankrupt you if you ever use them. It is better to never build shelters and never use evacuation.

Only way to cut down on your maintainence costs when people are in shelters is to turn off all buildings that have maintainence costs. Best of luck with trying to reboot city afterwards. ND is a failed format.

I found a mod that can change global maintenance costs so when I have a disaster I just reduce maintenance to my need. With mods this game would be unplayable.

they need more testers..almost every dlc was bugged as hell.i stoped playing after more than 1000+hours because of those unfinished mechanics.hope at some day all those things are fixed.because i like this game, beside the fact, there is no other game like this on the market.
