Tram mod or Snowfall DLC

I want trams in my city but don't really want to spend £10 just to get them. I'm not interested in the snow effect.

Are the tram mods out there just as good as the official DLC? Any recommended?

I wouldn't mess round with to many traffic mods, they tend to brake your savegame upon the next service/updated release of C:S. Snowfall is not a bad DLC by any means. For me, the Trams were worth it.

I'd save the money for the monorail, Blimps and much more in Mass transit. 10 quid just for trams is not worth it imo. But if you're adamant about it, then getting official ones is a probably better idea than mods which can break any time.

As I recall, there was only one modder, Sojiro, who was actively engaged in bringing trams to CS before Snowfall. Since Snowfall, he stopped and continued to make assets instead.
So, there aren't really any trams mods without Snowfall, except for 20+ pages of tram assets and roads of course. Therefore if you want trams, you will need Snowfall.

You should just buy the Complete Edition. It's actually cheaper than buying the DLC.
