and Noir....just don't buy that DLC if you don't like it.
as an optional DLC maybe it would be ok for some people. when i think back to playing the Caesar series and how your plebs could get unhappy and start destroying things though... well it was quite annoying. i certainly would not be buying such a DLC.
Then go play a game that has "what you want" prince!!! It won't happen here for a long time if at all as you cannot mod the cim models/animations.
Then you will need to return to sc4 to have your riots. It simply won't happen in CS.
where in my post did i say i wanted riots in CS? a guy can't simply reminisce about great city building memories?
I'm all for anything that simulates more aspects of the city. Sure, I like building and I may even play with unlimited money most of the time, but I do enjoy the challenge of building a city up, woes and all here and there. I can't say the Tweet... eh... whatever they're called... feeds really do it for me. They're great, but I would like to see a more visually enticing manifestation. I really enjoy that I can follow an individual and that they have a routine, but it would be awesome if some of them did more than take to social media in the face of a challenge.

I noticed your comment after writing this, MotownCounty: Agreed! +1
The Cim's themselves are very simple representations of people. In order to imbue them with more personality than their current happiness requirements, would mean you would have to provide each and every single Cim individual responses to the presence or absence of those happiness needs. When dealing with up to 64k instances, that would be an unbearable burden on the cpu of most PC's. This is why CO have avoided complicating the social modelling and kept it simple.
For this reason, you won't be seeing social unrest or any kind of response, besides the simple abandonement of a building that we have currently.
Secondly, if you were to attempt to implement a social engineering model to all Cims, it would have to apply to the base game as a whole and could not just be added on as a DLC.
