There is no default amount. It depends on how much of the workshop you use. It also depends on the map. Some maps seem to use around 2.5GB while others can use around 4.5GB.
Remember, eaxch workshop items is an external add-on to the game and increases RAM, GPU, and CPU usage.
Might look at getting a further 4GB
I have 16gb of memory around ~500 assets and mods. Loading Screen shows almost 10gb, I have no issues at all. I stay away from getting crazy with assets.
What is telling you that you have high memory usage?
What is your current rig specs? Are you sure you need a new one? Maybe curb your workshop addiction first. lol Just make sure you are actually using stuff you subscribe to. I see too many people subscribing to anything that looks nice and soon run into troubles.
The Loading Screen Mod shows the Memory usage is high.
PC was built in 2013, had to replace my GPU few yeas back to a Nvidia GTX 970 as my old one broke. 2 X 8GB RAM. i7-4770 CPU. Windows 10
When did RAM get so expensive. Just checked cost of another 8GB strip and it's trippled in price sinse the last strip I bought
Try ebay. They have good prices.
But if loading screen mod is saying it is high, with only 8gb usage, it sounds like just a warning than anything.
What does task manager report?
But the rest of your rig is way over specs for this game.
btw, how do you break a gpu?
I have no idea how it broke. just kept crashing games and the PC
You can increase your Swap-File to the double amount of your ram or buy an SSD. If your swap file is on the ssd, the loading is faster :)
