Why are everything so expensive ??
To me this game is so unplayable and slow pace, because my city is earning like $2,000 per month and a police station cost $12,000?? And the starting fund is so limited $40,000 so that for every building i need to save a lot of money just to progress the game.

For reference, here is a list of price of basic service, Elementary school 12,000, High school 24,000, BUS depot 30,000???? OMG, the return of investment is incredibly low.... It makes me so hesitate to take a loan from the bank. Maybe there is a gold mine underground i havent discovered?

If you try to compare this game to simcity 4, you will find that the difficulty should be regard as insane.... For expert mode in simcity 4, you got $100,000 as starting fund and the water pump cost u $150. In Cities Skylines, you got $40,000 as starting fund, water pump cost $2,400....

I agree, costs are high compared to others, also maintenence is also outrageous especially in the unique tabs.

Stop right there. Forget any other game and focus on the one you're playing. Comparisons to other games isn't solving anything.
Making money in C:S is very easy and you should be rolling in cash. Especially as you start building a new city with all of the cash bonuses you receive when you reach each population milestone. The trick though is to take advantage of those bonuses and limit your spending until you have developed your city ino the money making powerhouse it can potentially become ;)
This may help...
