some preformance questions
For a while now i have been trying to configure this game to run on my low end laptop and so far i have been able to get an 20fps average (bad i know but i don't mind) and when moving around i get about 15 but that's after disabling as much as i could.

but i wonder is there a way to disable level streaming, and turn down the graphic quality?

before you ask why, heres my answers.
disable level streaming: my weak 1.4GHz dual core cpu cannot handle the constant need to rerender everything and i lose alot of frames
turn down graphic quality: my 512mb igpu cannot stand the high quality textures and i need to turn them down and the reflective textures have a huge impact on my preformance.

any help will be awesome! :cleanseal:

If you open up the following file: "\SteamApps\Common\Viscera Cleanup Detail Shadow Warrior\UDKGame\Config\UDKSystemSettings.ini",
you'll be able to adjust more settings, including the texture quality controls.

In the first block of settings near the top([SystemSettings]), change the "TEXTUREGROUP_***" settings. They have a value called "MaxLODSize". This is typically 4096, although most textures never reach that. Turn it down to 512, or even down to 128 if you really need the RAM.

There are many other settings you can change in this block, but be careful.
Here are some obvious, and fairly safe ones:

  • DynamicLights
  • DynamicShadows
  • DepthOfField
  • AmbientOcclusion
  • LensFlares
  • Bloom
  • bAllowLightShafts
  • MaxAnisotropy
  • MaxMultiSamples
  • FogVolumes

I'm not sure about level streaming, but aren't there graphics settings for turning down textures?
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.
