Playing with a friend on the same team?
So I'm thinking of buying this game together with a friend, I am wondering though... Is it possible for me to play together with my friend NBA 2k14 as locked players against CPU online? Or as locked players in same team against other online players? Or even better, as our own created players against other created players or CPU?

I don't care if this game uses the old game engine I just care if it's possible to play together online on the same team.

Appreciate any help..

The short answer is no, you can't. Me and my bro were after the game for the same purpose. Start a franchise and play together VS A.I. teams through the season(s). Not gonna happen. Simple to implement but it seems 2k has left out a way to do it. There may be a workaround/mod/hack to get it to work but I have yet to find it. It does seem that playing on the same team on the same computer would work but online or via LAN? No Go.

What about creating your own players and doing something like My Crew (or whatever they call it nowadays)? Or just regular games with locked players vs AI?

Does neither work? I'm not sure whether you solely meant in franchise.

Playing together, locked players, on the same PC is dooable. So, far I have found all other methods to fail. Franchise, single game, my player. Even going "online" and selecting "team up" seems to be a random search for 4 players to play.

*SIGH*

So nothing has changed since 2K11/12 in other words. I don't even feel it's worth buying the game anymore.

Why do they not improve their online gameplay experience. It is sad if they don't care or realise that it would greatly boost the franchise.

I would have to guess that the PC segment is just to small to invest the 5-10 grand itd cost to get a programmer to just get it to work. It sucks. Oh well. Its still worth 7 bux easy.

Well, I am looking through now and it still seems a bit...vague. Hopefully for TUFFiS it can be done. However I still see no evidence that you can team up during a franchse. Am I missing something there?
