The 2k sports server is temporarily unavailable...
I purchased the game on PC yesterday. I get around to playing it today. I set up my 2k account or whatever just fine and confirmed everything through email like it instructed. Now im being told that 2k servers are unavailable. Now I would be inclined to wait it out, but, a friend that lives 2 blocks away is sitting on skype with me telling me hes connected and playing just fine with the 2k servers on pc. Using google translate I can see others are having similar issues. Anyone have a fix for this is? Its getting to be very frustrating..

Ive port forwarded the necessary ports. My friend is online right now is the point im trying to make... He lives 2 blocks from me, Why wouldnt it work for me

I keep getting this message when I boot the game too. Worked after initial registration, now I get this. Hope it isn't persistent and doesn't affect me playing with friends.

I bet you get a reply telling you to open ports on your router or to put your "games console" into a DMZ. Bet ya! (I've had it twice, the second time I opened a ticket about a failed transaction, and they still replied "have you tried opening your ports? blah, blah, blah". Fools!

Go to your antivirus settings and make sure NBA2K14.exe is allowed access. It may or may not work for you, but helped me.
