point guards main job is to pass, but a lot of them nowadays score a lot too

sources: lots of basketball knowledge, probably the thing I know the most about.

As a PG it's your job to create chances. Chances are you are the best dribbler on the team, so try to create something off the dribble (tip: make use of screens). Once you have a decent look, look at what the defense does, if they scramble towards you, there is probably an open teammate, so pass. If they leave you alone you should be able to get a good shot up.

Depends what type of point guard you want to be. Do you want to be a Russel Westbrook, or do you want to be a Rajon Rondo? Since this is a video game, I mainly like to shoot.

I think Rondo, i like him more as a Celtics fan

Shoot because it's very easy to score as a PG and if you're playing mycareer the IA sucks
MePenno Jun 21, 2014 @ 8:52am
You mean AI?
Shnuky Jun 21, 2014 @ 10:18am
yea

It depends on what you want him for, like people said before his job is to create and pass, scoring is a plus. If you're creating a team I really like Jose Calderon (Pg for the mavs) he has an 88 Pass and a 90 3pt shoot

I like starting an athletic point guard for the speed and quickness. I then just build up my passing skills and defense. Causing turnovers for my matchup becomes easier so being able to score even with low scoring skills still becomes easy. Piling assists should always be top priority so running fast breaks just try your best to get the assist instead. Once you've gotten enough points to build up your scoring and you understand your plays and teammates and have good chemistry, you'll be blowing up any team, that's when you might consider putting the difficulty up so you can at least have a challenge when you're feeling too OP.

Athletic or go home

Rondo is more like a true pure point guard. Pass first, shoot second. He's a great PG IMO

It's true but one of the reasons, i think, is that his jumper is not so good.

In real live pass first but ingame athletic, comes with many advantages like dunking ability and agility.

yup, funny thing about it is that my cousin who is in game dev said that the AI was really sloppy, almost like they got someone still trying to get their associates for game design.
