Radiant Fountain

I'm newer to magic, not sure how these alternate mana cards work. So Radiant Fountain acts as a "color less mana" and gives you 2 life?

Yes Its like a normal land but when it is played you gain 2 life. when you tap it you can use it for a colorless mana. so if a card costs 1 colorless and 1 white mana you need to tap a white mana card for the 1 white but you can tap any land for the colorless
