Can't get upstairs in the police station

It looks like I need to give this woman here a box with something metal in it to set off the metal detector, but there's nothing in the shop and I don't have anything on me that's metal.

Looking at the wiki, it looks like there's a copper idol in a mansion entryway jar, but it looks like I may have broken that one and sold the idol. Is there another one?

I think you can use any metal idol. Just roam around the forest until you find one.

I tried silver and that didn't work, and I don't think any of the others are metal.

I also looked through the forest for 15-20 minutes (revisiting all screens i could several times) and only found idols/statues i already had.

From my guide, Page 50 "Put a Silver Figurine in the box if you have one, if not you can use a Copper Idol or Silver Statue". I do not remember if I tested all three or not.
