Trickmaster not spawning?

I returned to wonderland after reaching the end of the world and lit the two candles on the ceiling way back when I played the world the first time but I can't get the cat to spawn on the table and trigger the boss fight. is there something I missed or is this bugged? I couldn't find any answers on a cursory search (they were all useless) and I've been running around wonderland for about an hour now with no clue on how to proceed

Which candles did you light? There's two different sets of candles. One set for an item box and one set for the boss. I think which one you get depends on which way the tree is turned.

I have all the candles lit, I lit them the first time I went through wonderland. There's only candles on the ceiling and on the side with the teddy bear and I have lit them all. I have tried reloading the game and entering through all portals yet the cat doesn't spawn to trigger the fight

You already sealed the keyhole there. You already beat the boss. Wonderland doesn't have a second boss is KH1 only Agrabah and Neverland do.

you're right. For some reason I thought he was post game for wonderland, I checked my journal and he was in my vanquished list

All good. I was gonna be like that's a weird bug if it let you skip him and still seal the keyhole.
