XBONE CONTROLLER NOT WORKING?

WHAT I DO?

Sometimes you need to have the controller plugged in when booting, cant plugin after. Can also download a 3rd party controller input program as well. DualSenseX for example, then the PC reads the controller as said controller and works.... Assuming your settings arent wacked.

What if its a wireless official controller?

Hmmm, I had an Xbox One at release... The controllers at release did not have PC bluetooth built in. At some point, they released a second model of Xbox One controllers that had bluetooth to PC built in or something like that. So try and pair the controller like normal and while its searching, click "add bluetooth device" or whatever on the PCs main settings. If it doesnt show up its the old model.

If you have the OG model then it needs a usb connector

Check if Steam Input is interfering with the game.
Right click the game in your library > Properties > Controller and override the global settings and try to fiddle with the settings there.

My english is bad but in thay way i solved the problem with the xbox controller, i choose the 3rd voice: "Enable steam input"

If the controller is connecting to your PC fine and it’s a Steam/Game specific issue, download a 3rd party freebie program like “X-output”, to take the input raw and hopefully emulate it a way that works for the game, gl
