Report a translation problem
The only work around is to download one version, and add "Eng" or "JP" at the end of the folder name for the game. You will have to install the other language, but at least you have a download of both and can play both by opening the game in the folder
Yes I was thinking of that as I was writing my comment, but that's quite a lot of work and a huge amount of space just to switch languages "freely", especially for any steam deck players. Plus this still doesn't fix cross language save files :/
I think best is to wait for someone to mod in a language selection option
I think i saw one on the nexus, havent used it since i still havent bought the game so i cant say how well it works

You'd have to consume enough poorly dubbed Japanese media (most of it) to understand why people would prefer to read subs over a poor man's retelling.
