Once you get the warp gummi module you can warp instantly to worlds you've visited before. It's also a feature of the Critical Mix mod from the start of the game iirc

If you leave the default driving speed in 1, you will stay with the slow driving speed and weak weapons

I think it's after Wonderland and Deep Jungle have been completed. Cid gives it to you after you ask him about the gummi pieces

After deep jungle and wonderland. Some advice that a lot of people seem to not know: after clearing the first few worlds and unlocking sid go buy 1-2 boosters and another small cannon, spend 5 minutes in gummi editor equiping them on the base ship, then throw as many "armor" blocks onto the gummi as you can fit. Ignore how horrendously stupid it might look and forget about build logic it doesnt have to make sense. This will triple your health and speed and double your damage to the point where gummi missions are stupidly easy.
