1.5 + 2.5? whats the difference?

never played the series, is there an ACTUAL 1 +2 i need to buy or is this like it? why isnt it on here?

It's just named weird. 1.5/2.5 collection contains KH1 and KH2 (as well as Re:Chain of Memories and Birth By Sleep, and cutscene compilations from 358/2 Days and Re:Coded)

it is a HD collection of Kingdom Hearts games
instead of calling them Kingdom Hearts 1 + Re: Chains of Memory (with 358/2 days bonus movie) it's better to call them Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD because the extra game Re:chains of Memory (as well as the bonus movie) takes play between the end of Kingdom Hearts 1 and the beginning of Kingdom Hearts 2 and fill in some extra background information about missing characters and the villain's secret plans
and the same about 2.5, except it fills in the blanks even more and have a prequel story prior or Kingdom Hearts 1

They're called 1.5 and 2.5 because each port also included a smaller spin-off title. The Chain of Memories PS2 remake for 1.5 and Birth by Sleep for 2.5.

They also have CGI movies telling the story of the NDS games that were never ported to other platforms

1.5 is the first game and the game between 1 and 2. Hence, 1.5.

2.5 is the second game and the game between 2 and 3. Hence, 2.5.

...except there's also a game between 2.5 and 3. Hence, 2.8.

3 is 3.
