There's country with 20Mbps internet speed
This is nonsense.
It would require Square to either (a) package the games as individual library items with only an individual game in each launcher like Metal Gear Solid Master Collection or Ninja Gaiden Master Collection, or (b) configure each game's content to download as separate DLC packages and still have the single launcher but just block launching of any DLC that isn't installed, like Halo Master Chief Collection.
Cost isn't the problem. Effort is. Yeah, 60GB isn't that big in 2024, but it's a fair point that there is no reason to download all of these games and movies at once when you're realistically only going to be playing/watching them one at a time in sequence. They're narrative driven RPGs. You don't need more than one installed at a time.
You're lacking HDD space in 2024? oof. Might wanna get off the PC and learn some skills to get you some better income.
There's states in the US with worse internet speed. Your point?
I have 16tb of ssd and thats not enough with how large games are now. I would have gotten more space already but i'm waiting on the next intel socket to drop so I can do everything at once. Most people don't come close to that so I would imagine most people would care if I care.
Not true, half of the game is in the disc.
Internet in most of America borders on dial-up speeds.
16TB of SSDs and you're complaining about space? Boys, get your boots. The ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is getting deep.
Yeah I got a lot of games. And I mod quite a few of them. I don't like to uninstall modded games its disrespectful to myself to that if i spend countless hours tweaking them and then just delete it on a whim to do it again in another month. I can't be wasting time like that. I also record gameplay on 4k ultra 60 fps those file sizes are huge man. The raw footage for my GTA V movie took about 1 tb alone at the time when I made it.
That makes more sense about retaining mods and video capture being the cause for needing a large amount of space. I was applying my use case and thinking you were being ridiculous.
I apologize.
My apology, you are correct. I was mistaken on this title. I recently bought the PS5 Slim and I bought several PS4 games and Kingdom Heart collection was part of my purchase. I did remember there was a multi-titled game that allowed me to install what game out of the list I can install and it was the Uncharted Drake collection (Uncharted 1-3).
It was not my intention to lie about it. I just mistaken what game it was (I don't mean the thread). Still the poster does have a valid point and while yes storage isn't expensive as long as it's platter based storage device, not much of an option for Xbox Series/PS5 for actual XB Series/PS5 games as it is required a m2 drive with minimal certain speed at least on PS5.
I still rock so hard using my standard 7200 RPM multi terabyte hard drives. I still haven't bought a solid state drive in either m2 or for SATA (Though my OS drive is a 1TB hybrid disk drive).
Anyways, thanks to whoever gave me the clown steam community award. It was a honest mistake but I'll take it I guess. I didn't reply earlier since I didn't subscribe to this thread.
In the main game path, go to Image, dt, then delete all files that aren't of your interest.
Since I only want to play the first game, I only leave the files that start with "kh1_"
(I still kept the Recom and Teather files, since I don't know if those are necessary, but I ended up deleting over 50gb, and the game is working good)
And I agree, I also tried the pirated version, it was so much easier to delete unwanted files, but I hope this helps you or anyone that has this specific problem, and won't take a "Just buy more disk space duhhh" as a "fix"
