When I have tried saving I keep getting an error that says “save data is corrupt. Failed to load game data” along with “check failed” in the background.
Would love to hear if there is a fix for this🙃
Hi mate ! Actually sadly you can't as the ROG Ally soc is based on a Radeon gpu based on RNDA3 architecture and it's put some troubles actually for these games .
KH1, 2 and Birth by sleep . KH3 is fine if i remmeber
In all cases i strongly advertised to stick to 30 fps but it will crash however.
Main rule is to stick to 30 fps not more that is true for all other gpu brand and architecture Nvidia include but at least it will work without a single crash.
Actually a patch is being worked on. The build number say so also. Last udate of the beta was 15 hours ago.
But you can't do nothing for that sadly actualy just keep in mind what i said for the 30 fps (i mean it really)
ONLY KH3 will work well without crash at 60 fps and above, EXCEPT for some specific battles due to like always engine physics related.
I won't even be surprise to heard that put 60 fps in KH1 lead to disproportionned physical damage
Much games have their fps linked to that (sadly) witch lead to weird behaviour depending of the case.
RE Engine from Capcom by ex is known for that by ex the highter fps you have ? the deadly your knife will be (really no joke even myself when v synch locked to 116 fps on RE2 Remake)
IF your gpu is RNDA3 based it's the problem for these games. You have to wait for a patch.
Actually one is working on (since yesterday in fact according to the database)
When do you think it will be released?
Humm yeah not sdurprising... well in all case si have perfect fix for the framerate smoothnest and keeping the better stability also ( so 30 fps yes sir !)
Made some progress in the game , actually beat the first boss in Wonderlands and go back to Traverse' town.
What i have CLEALRY notice and can confirm
- VRR o mmatter witch one HAD to being DISABLED , so g synch or freesynch It's MANDATORY in fact for the framepacing in fact it's the major del breaker
- Cap fps at 30 NO MORE (stability will come at 60 fps for sure , some bugs are the same)
- You can in reality use v snc in game OR in nvidia control panel
- For the refresh i have tested in 60 Hz and there during some hours of gameplay i have tested in 120 hz or more exactly made a test in letting windows in 120 hz (setting in windows)
But ask to nvidia control panel to let the prefered refresh rate being controlled by the application.
Performance mode of course
And game had no stutters at all or bad framepacing. And i confirm for being sure to have put 30 fps both in game and in the control panel nvidia and also for background (Nvidia had two setting for app for this exact point limit framerate for in game AND when it's focus in background (but i will remove one of them probably th eones in game i don't know
So
- VRR desactivate : g synch or freesynch (mandatory same for frampacing quality because the games are not compatible with)
- Cap fps in game at 30 NO MORE than thzt (mandatory for stability i mena it)
-60Hz or 120 Hz in windows itself no matter if you let the exe of the game choose his prefered refresh rate (to add that exlusive had in logical his own thing contrary to bordeless witch will follow your actual definition AND refresh rate)
A week maybe it depend on them and what they wantt fix in first
Mind you, I have a separate PC that does not have an AMD GPU. I did this fix on that PC.
I will play again on my Legion Go when a patch is released.
Here are the original instructions I got from Steam-
"Important: before doing any of the actions below consider backing any files that will be removed to a separate location until you confirm it worked as you desired. Please note that this process is not supported so we will be unable to provide any additional instructions regarding it should you choose to do it.
Make sure the game is installed, it needs to be installed for the files to be found.
Disable cloud functionality for the game (right-click the game in your library -> Properties -> General -> Untick "Keep games saves in Steam Cloud for KINGDOM HEARTS -HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX-")
Navigate to the account's data page for your cloud saves at: https://store.steampowered.com/account/remotestorageapp/?appid=2552430
On this page, you will see each file currently in the cloud for your account for this game. These files can be located by default at: %USERPROFILE%/My Documents/My Games/KINGDOM HEARTS HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX/Steam/{64BitSteamID}
Navigate to the location for the files on your computer and delete any files you wish to remove from the cloud in that folder and any sub folders.
Now, launch the game and create at least one new save file.
If that was successful, close the game and re-enable the cloud functionality for the game.
When you launch the game again, you will be prompted by a cloud conflict window asking you to pick between two options. You want to keep local files by selecting the "Upload to the Steam Cloud" to overwrite your older files.
Now the data for this game should be reset. Note that in some cases the cloud files may have been overwritten successfully without a cloud conflict window appearing. You can check the account data page again to see what is now stored.
You may also wish to visit the Steam Cloud FAQ for additional information about the Steam Cloud."
This did not work for me so I went to program files (x86)\Steam\userdata
from here I found a folder that had the same date I played KH, and deleted it.
I kept cloud save OFF while doing this process so it doesn't bring that corrupt save back to my computer.
From here you can re-upload to the cloud by turning the cloud save back on once you make a successful save.
Well if The KH series working then how come KH 0.2 bbs FP is doing the same...heck it was fine at first but after coming back to to play, the next save says "Failed to save game date" and it don't save at all...i looked this up and it says to restart with a fresh save, but I feel like it won't be the case
