Game got shadow released on steam. I found out about this release literally on twitter. It was on some random post that had like no engagement. Otherwise I would not have found out until probably day of release and that's if I checked the store which I don't do everyday. It's also a single player game of a series that while is beloved by many old school/hardcore gamers most new age and casual gamers aren't going to give a crap their tik tok brains need generic MP rot or a trashy ubisoft collectathon. If you have enough time to break balls about this you should know the current state of gaming c'mon man. The current numbers are actually good if anything.
As for your logic of not shelling 70 bucks for a game you paid retail for actually is false if you are speaking about the original ps2 releases for these games. They were about 50 bucks each so go ahead and do the math per game if you would like to do so (if you account for inflation which I won't just to be nice than the games were actually almost 80 dollars each). You would be getting a deal as now your paying 10 dollars for a superior remastered version of the game and its the final mix version too instead of the inferior original ps2 variant. Now you can argue "Oh I'm talking about these specific ports" Well on PS the all in one package is basically everything we have here except Re-Mind for 100 dollars (currently on sale for 40 bucks on psn) that dlc alone is currently 30 dollars so wow its actually more money on psn as once that sale expires it will exceed the full price on steam with the two sales going on they are very similar. I'm not going to bother doing math for the epic prices as we all know they were truly disgusting at release much higher than either of the other two store fronts.
SE doesn't have to go oh he has it on PS lets give him a discount. Any time a game has a port or remaster and they do a deal its for the same platform (or a generational upgrade). Those free copies for a remaster like bioshock now that makes sense and happened if you had copies on steam already not on completely different ecosystem like ps3. That was also a different era of gaming. A lot of these upgrades are now patches and not a re release of a title (like fallout 4) Nobody told you to go buy the collection wherever you did when you had interest in a PC copy. I have a ps5 and I buy no more sony games on it. You wanna know why? Because eventually the titles will come to PC and not only will I run it better but I will pay less than it was on PSN. You are literally getting upset because you got this on a different platform and now you want it here too for chump change because you didn't have patience. It's totally fine if you want to wait for it to drop further because it will eventually. That is very logical I've done that for many games that I had owned on console and now wanted on PC. But it is not logical to call people blind at this pricing when its actually pretty fair when you look at the ratio of content to pricing. You are the one that is blinded because you're letting a past purchase that has nothing to do with steam actually warp your mindset on this. Had these games existed on steam previously you would actually have a leg to stand on. But they don't so neither do you.
Stick to not weighing your opinion in on subjects in the future. You couldn't be more wrong with this statement. Especially if you tried doing remotely any sort of research on the modding scene.
People have been modding the original KH1 and 2 games since the PS2 days. It only became more prevalent when tech got better and the Remix games came out.
Anything more you have to say on the internet is automatically going to be discredited due to your sheer lack of awareness and knowledge. You just killed your credibility with the drop of a hat.
Maybe time will prove you right. I doubt it though. This is one of those cases of fractured modding communities that don't seem to be large on any site meanwhile the console versions of moding will ironically pull larger numbers despite being less mod friendly. Same thing happened with Persona games that came to the PC.
The modding communities for persona titles on PC have far surpassed the console variants quite some time ago.
Heck look at Dark souls 3, that game can be considered old at this point. I was surprised after all these years it's still going for $60 here. In fact it's $85 with all the dlc and that's just for one game.
KH1; Re:CoM; KH2 and BBS in KH HD 1.5+2.5
DDD and Fragmented in 2.8
and KH3, that's a total of 7 games as far as math goes.
I don't really think 70€ for 7 games with high replay value is anywhere near overpriced, they can be old sure, but that shouldn't detract from the fact that some of these are better games than most AAA 60€ games from recent times.
Not everyone owns a PlayStation, and most of us sure as hell ain't gonna buy a PS for a few hundred dollars to be able to save some money on the game with PS Plus.
Also, unless you are no life-ing the hell out of the collection, there is no way you aren't gonna spend close if not more money just on PS Plus subscriptions, which I guess depend on where you live, but in my country is 17€ per month, in 4 months you will spend the money it would cost you to buy the game.
------
These games hold up to this day and have tons of replayability. Why are you complaining about it??? It is simple, don't buy it. Some of us have been waiting for it to come out on Steam so we didn't have to buy it on Epic.
------
Plus some of us have visual issues playing games at 30fps so they play them on PC.
Epic work fine.
Steam launch is with a good discount.
You want to pay less, you wait until summer 2025. it's always like that with Steam for ALL game: at least 1 year minimum to get huge discount.
Stop complaining: i bought 4 copy of KH 3 over the years (ps4 version, ps4 Japanese version, Epic and now Steam) same for the kh1 and 2 compilation (ps3 ,ps4, Epic and Steam) most at full price.
do i need to do a topic to complain about how much i spent for KH Franchise ?
no .
