This port has way too many issues
There is zero excuse for how poorly this port is done. The frame rates are far too low, cutscenes are unwatchable and audio is out of sync big time.

And before anyone says it is my computer I can tell you it is not an issue with my computer.

Computer specs:
OS: Linux Mint
CPU: Ryzen 9 7950X
RAM: 64GB DDR5 6000 MHz
GPU: RTX 4090

Everything is fully updated so there is zero excuse for this mess.

Edit: I have refunded this game and have no intention on buying it again until it is actually fixed. I know mods that can fix this is possible but I don't think a broken product should be supported.

Deactivate V-sync and limit fps to 60 will solve your issue.

Get a better computer. Problem solve.

You are better of playing these games on RPCS3 emulator, you can get them to look just as good and there are less issues as well.

For me helped to turn off the sync for frames in option menu. Its smooth for me right now. It was broken and laggy as hell.

I have 13900K and RTX 4090.
After some researching IDK why the 120FPS thing is an option, turns out it ruins so many things.

Had a massive frame pacing issues in KH1, Tried so many things and the only thing that fixed it is going to Nvidia control panel and make the refresh rate at 60Hz.

Now it work fine overall, camera in KH1 is ♥♥♥♥♥ though, hope there will be a mod for that ...

Yeah I tried this and many other fixes people suggested. The only thing I could fix was cutscene issues. But everything else was still broken for me. So I just got a refund and might get this later if an official fix come out.

insane how playing the PS2/PSP ISOs with widescreen and HD textures will net you a far more consistent experience that official PC ports

It took three minutes to get to the title screen because the game runs so slow. It's definitely not my computer.

It’s your operating system.

My computer is by far weaker and I don't have any of these issues. lol
Doom Sayer Jun 14, 2024 @ 3:27am
You need to mess with vsync and fps cap to fix it if i remember. Overall port is serviceable while also being bad/mediocre.
edit: checked my settings, Borderless fullscreen, 60 fps cap ingame, vsync on. Win10

I've only seen bad framerates in certain types of cutscenes, other than that the game is very smooth for me so far, especially the gameplay, where it actually matters.

Are Square Enix paying you for shilling this? It's a bad port, it was a bad port when it came out on Epic 3 years ago and wasn't fixed for this release. There are persistent audio issues, cutscene fps issues, the game does not work on pretty much all RDNA3 GPUs except for the Steam Deck and the launcher if infamously awful to the point it is generally recommended to skip it where possible.
