Controller support doesn't work properly

I just started Kingdom Hearts 1 and it is unplayable, the layout of my buttons are all shuffled, like when I press A it pauses my game and when I move forward it attacks .. I tried resetting my drivers twice, adjusting the Steam Input but nothing works, anyone who is facing this bug got a solution? I'm using a 8BitDo Ultimate Bluetooth.

when the game starts it asks you "which version of keyboard layout do you want" did you change that? and if so.. turn it back to base qwrty

have the games on EGS too and this was a problem. if you're going to use a controller just don't change the "keyboard" layout. because it's just emulating those key's with the controller

I'm using the QWERTY, it was the first one selected and I just went with it
Now I managed to solve the problem a bit, I can move and all, but when I press A for some reason it attacks and pauses the game at the same time, like if start is somehow attached to A too.. I tried manually map the buttons by the main menu but it sadly also didn't solved the problem :(

huh.. my logitech f310 is having 0 issues..

It is so weird, I never had this kind of problem using the 8BitDo I have in any other games, one of the reasons I even bought that one was bcz everyone always recommended it due having good compatibility everywhere

I really don't think it is a problem with my gamepad, somehow it is only in kingdom hearts and all I can do is keep trying to find a solution or wait for a bug correction patch since I saw other ppl having this problem in other gamepads :| Gonna play on keyboard while that

OK OK OK I just managed to solve it!! I just kept tweaking my drivers, the steam input, adjusting with the button mapping in the main menu and it just worked next time I reopened the game, sadly I don't know exactly what fixed but what matters is that it worked!!

Perhaps!! I hope it can help anyone else who is facing that problem too

works fine for me with qwertz selected and using a dualshock 4 with steam input (so not using the games native ds4 support)

logitech f310 works just fine in x-input mode

I managed to solve by meddling with the Steam Input and the manual mapping option from the main menu, also take a look if you have any other app running in background! plus, I just noticed that yesterday I was with JoyToKey opened ( that app allows you to map keyboard buttons to your gamepad ) and it might have been one of the culprits, I fixed it after closing!
