Mouse only registers input 30-40% of the time (Left Click/Attack mostly)
When trying to attack during a fight, the attack button on the mouse (left click) only seems to register 30-40% of the time. Sora will just stand there or act as though the button wasn't used in the first place.

I'm not sure if it matters or not but I have a Razer Mamba Wireless plugged in in its wired state (This model acts as wireless or wired depending on being plugged in). Every other game, every other program on the PC registers a left click from the mouse properly. The KH collection is the only thing that appears to have issues.

Interestingly, everything else within the game registers a left click perfectly fine. It's just the battles that take issue with the mouse.

Anyone found a fix?

UPDATE

Discovered the issue is the mouse does not lock to the window by default. I could not tell this was the issue initially, as the cursor disappears outside of the game window which made me think it was locked to the window when it wasn't.

Using screen lock with an on-screen keyboard has fixed the issue for me and I play completely fine now. Hope this helps someone else!

Bro, the game randomly decides that my controller stops working. The port has clear issues.

Issue seems to be caused by mouse cursor not locking into window.

Fixed the mouse only working sometimes by initiating the scroll lock with an on-screen keyboard. Now the mouse works pretty much always.
So:
Mouse doesn't work
Controller doesn't work

Naw, it's not the same as far as I know.

I found a fix for my issue but I don't know if it will fix controllers. If you have a controller, would you mind trying the fix?

What about my controller having weird inputs FOR THIS GAME SPECIFICALLY screams "skill issue"? All face buttons except for Y are messed up.

I believe I'm having a similar, if not the same issue. The cursor is only showing up in part of my window, typically the outside, and disappearing toward the center of the screen. I'd like to try your fix of the scroll lock with the on-screen keyboard, but I'm not sure what that is. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

I'm sorry I didn't specify the OS, it is Win 11.

If you have Windows, you type on screen keyboard in the search bar and open up the program. (Should be installed by default)

Alternatively, if you have a regular 100% keyboard, just use the scroll lock on the physical board.

I'm also having this issue. I'm trying to use the on screen keyboard, but I have no idea if it's doing what it should- it certainly doesn't seem so. Changed between borderless to fullscreen to windowed with no apparent effect, also changed how sensitive the mouse controls should be. Am I doing the on screen keyboard wrong? -pressing windows while in game, selecting scroll lock lock, then alt-tabbing back into the game? I've never used the on screen keyboard before- my actual keyboard doesn't have the button. Win 10 if that changes anything

You should be able to change mouse sensitivity in-game. Default is 3.0.

If you alt-tab, the game takes a while to "re-detect" your mouse. Which isn't a huge deal, but if you're say toggling podcasts while you grind for Energy Stones, it might come up.

More or less you did the same thing I did.

The game I was playing was KH1 but I started on Chain of Memories and it has the same problem all over again. Chain of Memories was more or less improved by playing in smaller separate window. If played in fullscreen, it would open random applications, pictures, music, etc behind the game display. Computer seemed to be confused and thought I was sitting at desktop screen.

It seems like my fixing KH1 was a fluke, as the other games have similar issues but are harder to fix.
