Supposedly it's only the latter right now. From what I heard, all those PC mods from Epic Store are broken with this Steam release, so hopefully soon there will be some "undub" (Japanese audio with English script) option.

You can with mods. The subtitles will always be those of the language you have selected in properties, so what the mods change is only the voices.

The patcher for the mods has already been updated, so the "Japanese Voices" mods on Nexus can now work for steam (obviously, no way anyone tested the whole games yet).

There are two downloads for each game, one is for the patcher and the other movies you have to manually replace on the game folder. You need both to change everything. The ones that aren't playable have only one though, and the Back Cover one is in the descrption of the 0.2 one due to lacking page in Nexus.

Note that the folder structure of the movies is the Epic one, which is basically a difference in EPIC/STEAM and en/dt in folder naming so you need to move the movie files manually rather than dragging the whole folder in the rar. The patcher should detect the steam folder without issues on last version, but if doesn't, just select the game folder, no further issues with that one.

The downloads are quite big, so you won't finish quickly if you want to pach everything from 15+2.5 and 2.8.

On properties. You have to select it on steam before opening the game.

The mods on Nexus by TieuLink does not work correctly for all titles, He only swapped the audio, while forgetting about the lip and cutscene animations. This leads to de-sync and lines getting cut off. The only mod that adding in Dual-Audio correctly was RE:Fined, which atm only supports KH2.

But that is the only one that works as of now.

RE:Fined is a great project, but it doesn't work properly even for EPIC right now due to the update, and there is no way to know when it will be ready for Steam. It doesn't include all games either. The only one tagged live in their git is KH2 (KH1 and DDD are the only other oens that seem usable as chain isn't done and BBS is considered too bugy), and this is considering pre-update in EPIC.

Their server is always resetting the connection randomly making the download fail.

Thanks a lot for the offer! No worries, lack of patience got the better of me and I paid for a month subscription to nexus mods to be a able to download it full speed :')
I'm going to download a ton of mods this month to make it worth the price I paid haha
