Thats the first mistake of any player.
You play them in release order, or you will be VERY lost. Even just skipping Chain of Memories (the only game between 1 and 2) will leave you more confused than 2's intro is already meant to make you as a mystery.
The only game on the collection thats in the wrong order is 358/2 Days, which should be AFTER 2 and not before. This can be fact checked by just looking at the release date.
...that said, the first game kinda sucks &I hear it's the best one.
Probably only worth getting if you have nostalgia for it.
Only one that that reaches 2, is 3 with the ReMind update.
Breaking it down that is $5.60 per entry in the series... So yes totally worth it.
I can't imagine anyone calling any of these games actually bad save for maybe something like Coded and everything else that's a mobile game or a ported mobile game
