Transferring saves

Whenever the games are finished downloading how can I move my epic progress over to steam

Assuming it works, they should be in your EGS folder and you would just move those files to the steam folder equivalent that it creates. I was waiting for someone to verify that it does in fact work before purchashing. People have done this in the past with other EGS games.

If you move over the saves, doesnt this mean any achievements to the game that you already passed wont apply to the steam version?

im trying now and cant figure it out. i moved my save file data into the steam folder it created in my docs for KH 1.5+2.5 and its not showing when i go to load. not sure what needs to be done

i renamed my file to match the steam version which is adding _WW at the end. i turned off cloud saves and launched the game. it says the save file is corrupt and is making a new save file. not sure how to proceed.

I did the same as you, and i've got exactly the same problem. Oh damn.

Yes, the achievements won't be carried over.

Use kingdom save editor, i think that might end up being updated

SquareEnix have completely changed the labelling of the save files and whenever I copy them over I am met with the corrupted save file message, sucks cause you could copy your FF7RI save over from Epic just fine

Someone has posted that he was able to transfer the save in AMD forums in the post about the game crashing with 7000 cards.

Looks like Kingdom Save Editor works for Birth By Sleep but no luck on KH2 unfortunately

Squid_Baron the report I mentioned above was talking about having transfer a KH2 save.

Just make a clean in-game save then inject your old save
