wtf the achievements
Not even a little "KHI:; KHReCom:; KHII:; etc." before the name of each achievement, it's just all achievements for 4 games all together without any kind of sorting

I'm just glad there even ARE Achievements TBH.

AT LEAST they are the same as the Ps4 version, same name even. So using a guide of those trophies will be enough to track them (excluding the platinum trophie one cause Sony)

Unfortunately they were like that in EGS too, but at least there you could distinguish the game by the icon used :/

I noticed once opened, press SHIFT + TAB and there is a section to "current" and you can organize them manually. So that's good, just a quick time to rearrange them and it's better than nothing
RainbowGamx Jun 13, 2024 @ 10:40am
oh, i'm gonna do that, hope that they stay organized even after closing the game tho

Stop chasing achievements. They're just arbitrary little hoops that the devs put in front of you to manufacture a feeling of FOMO when you don't do them. They're totally arbitrary and I promise you will be completely fine if you simply ignore them.

Oh, that kinda sucks. I was hoping to 100% KH2 but since they're all mixed I have no interest in doing it for the other games.

99% of the time I wouldn't agree with this but this dude is actually right in this case. Believe it or not RetroAchievements the site with achievements coded by fans built into emulators has a way better achievement list for KH1 then Square has ever had. The KH achievements are actually ass and there's so much ♥♥♥♥ that can be done (achievements) in the games that are not tracked at all by the system.

Some of us enjoy having goals to work towards built-in. Adds replay value and can prolong your stay in a game. If you don't care about them that's great. But no one cares.

You can try playing first all the games and getting everything without caring about the achievements. After you are done you could check what remains in achievements and trying to get them, it should be a lot more manageable when you only have 10-20 remaining vs 100+

Thats the problem. How can you tell which game each of the leftovers is from?

Say you have an achv that asks you to kill "50000 enemies"... Okay, for what game? You going to go mow down 50k in each game till you find it?

Without at least saying what game they are from, this achv list is just annoying. Even FFX/X2 had them split into halves. Top half being X.

They have been fixed!!! So it was indeed just an error.

Or not... okay, the Achv list on the storepage, doesnt match the achv list from our profile... So clearly something IS wrong with them.

It's designed by UX professionals to make you feel that way. They put arbitrary made-up gates in front of you so you feel you didn't get the "full" experience unless you did all the little extra bits they told you make the experience complete. This is designed intentionally to make you engage with their product longer.

And?

If it makes someone happy to achievement hunt in a game, it's their decision, not yours. You can mansplain marketing all you want, some of us enjoy the satisfaction of having 100% completed a game.

Same people who say "you haven't beaten a game if you use cheats" in single player games. Same energy.
