Can't install just 1.5 or 2.5

It's 82GB, that's a lot of space on my Steam Deck. I wish I could choose to install one at a time.

TBH I created the topic because I knew ppl would wonder the same.

It's a single download on console as far as I understand, so Square probably didn't feel like going the extra mile for PC.

If you're desperate, you could try downloading it, then deleting the game files for the games you don't want to play at the moment in Desktop Mode. Then reinstall or verify the game integrity to download the rest again when desired. But of course, that assumes you have the free space at the moment and isn't as convenient.

On PS3 they were originally 2 separate games.

Later ports combined both collections into one.

You're right, I meant that each collection was a single install. Originally 1.5 and 2.5 were separate releases, but they each installed all games at once.

Same, I have ♥♥♥♥ internet and can only download during certain hours of the day. Got a couple hours in today... many more to go...

Not that it's much better, but 71.8 GB appears to be the final install size. Unless it's different from Windows for some reason.

Ahh people with stone age internet it really sucks. I am quoted 13 minutes to install 1.5 and 2.5 people just need to get better internet.

Yes, I'm sure people can just wish up better Internet if it's not available in their area, or they have awful ISPs with data caps etc.

Its actually larger with the shoved in AI upscale they did to textures.

The file size was much smaller before.

Steam offers smaller install for Steam Deck. It's almost half the regular size. This fact just isn't advertised anywhere in the Store.

I can confirm this to be true. It confused me at first as well. When I downloaded to both my main rig and my steam deck.

yeah I got rid of Borderlands 3 which is >130GB to make room. As Steam also uses space for shader cache I always try to keep some space for that on the internal storage.
