Fatal Error after i finished Ventus story in Kingom hears brit by sleep

I just finished ventus story and when i saved it said fatal error and now it dosent allow me to save. I have already finished it with Terra. Now i must play Aqua. What should ido now?
If i play now Aqua then when i finish it the game will not remeber that i have finish the other two due to the fatal error. Any suggestions? Which means that the final misisns will not unlock like if the error didnt happen. Any solution to this problem?

Hello, am I correct in understanding that your save data for Ventus and Terra are corrupted?

Just to clarify, and to my knowledge; for the post-game episodes of Birth by Sleep you need to have completed save files for each character's story along with some additional in-game requirements based on the lowest chosen difficulty of the three.

As for your save data, without any manual or cloud backups it's likely going to be a "start over" kind of deal. Alternative methods I read involve editing saves though I wouldn't personally recommend that + the posts were regarding the Epic version and these save files are PNGs? I also read a few cases of a cloud service such as Google's interfering with the My Document files and causing errors but take that lightly too.

Fingers crossed that you have a Steam cloud backup saved otherwise unfortunately it might mean a purge of your save folder... I hope this helps.

Yes they are desroyed. I started playing with Aqua yesterday on a new save file.I have played 2 hours and i saw on youtube that ti is 6 hours which means that i might finish it in the weekend.

It just happend again! I reached the keyblade grave yard with Aqua and after i saved it showed Fatal erro message . Exactly the same happend with Ventus when i reached the Keyblade Grave yard. Now what should ido? Finish grave yard without save? And then what? The latest save is before the battle with Vanitas. And after i finish grave yard then what?

Sorry to hear, I'd probably be creating manual backups of my save folder if it kept on happening until I figured out the cause. Try to create a new backup every time before you save in-game.
It might also be good to turn off all cloud backups for this games files if you have those on. (Steam cloud, document backups etc.).
In other words, try to mitigate the damage done if you can't prevent the fatal error issue.
Do you spot any trends or causes of this error? Any warning signs?

If everything seems fine and it's an error to do with saving specifically; it could be to do with the path or location of the save being interrupted or changed during game-play. It may be because of mods or 3rd party apps used in the background or anything else. Try to validate your game files for the next time you play or do a clean re-install, you never know what works until you try.

Hi I feel bad for you and feel like you are going to keep repeating the issue.
So...when you alt tab in these games... Something goes wrong.
You are getting the actual crash message but man it just completely crashes with zero explanation. Sometimes on save it will corrupt the save.

My solution to constant corruptions was to play borderless window.
Then NEVER TAB during game. It killed my KH1 proud run and I was like man...should of saved it in all the spots. So always make multiple saves as you go.

Hhi. You mean Bordeless full screen? I just selected it in the options. Now i will beat Vanitas again and see if the game will crash when i save.

I JUST finished it with Aqua, Then when it asked me to save i selected another save file and got this error again. But then the game told me that it created a clear save file .I see i still have a Ventus file after unlocking keyb lade grave. Now i have finished all 3 heroes but the secret episode didnt get unlocked because of the fatal errors that i got during saves in all 3. Terra save file is deleted however. what to do now?

So I did try nearly all day to replicate your error because advice given bad must be fixed.
And a true fix guide would be useful so...DATA!

I couldn't for the life of me get it to crash out on input other than tabbing. It's always on button press confirmation.

See if something is running on foreground etc, that's truly brutal crash. Maybe even reinstalling just in case?
