Kingdom Hearts Final Mix - Contains Spoilers - Game Information

Do you know I needed to find some items in the game and obviously I had no idea who dropped those items because the item drops in this game is very specific to each enemy it appears aside from a few healing items but I wanted to make this post because a lot of the information online and on youtube for Final Mix is kind of really wrong and has tons of misinformation so for any of you who owns a website or wiki or youtube perhaps you can update your information with my correct information so people don't get lost like I did trying to get specific items.

First of all almost the entire community agrees that item farming in this game is so bad luck but tbh the items have been kind of seriously easy to obtain once I figured out the mechanic for myself on how to beat each enemy. So I won't be blacking out any spoilers because I listed it in the title so to make it easy for myself on that regard the entire next portion of this will be entirely spoiler tagged. Well if steam actually parses the spoiler tag regardless of size of text that is anyway here is some information misleading otherwise.



Black Ballades - Lightning Stone - Requires you to guess what monster is the correct monster after it shuffles, As noted the one you need to track jumps into the air first before shuffling. Considered to be nearly impossible to track by most of the community surrounding the game, I got 4 stones my first try and was able to easily track what monster was where. Granted i'm a former pro gamer but still. Anyway the ballades is listed as total RNG but it's not quite ^^ if you loose track of the Ballades although it is true what position it has is random, It only actually has 2 patterns it follows in the shuffle. So even though it can take up all 5 positions instead when tracking the monster, Keep your eyes on it's start position only slightly glancing with peripheral vision where it's going and it can only be in one of the 2 patterns, Either it's jumped to position 2 4 6 if it started on 1 or it went to 3 if it started on 5 it can either go to 1 2 4 or it will go to 3. The amount of times it's in the middle is absurd mine was centre 3 times in a row so if you lose tracking hit the middle every time.

Chimera - Fire stone - The online information on Chimera states to drop into Halloween towns manor area where you fight Oogie guy, It states you have to kill waves of enemies for Chimera to show up, While true there is a red trinity point on the wall if Chimera can spawn and will spawn when you clear enemies that red trinity graphic will disappear otherwise it will stay there so you can just refresh by reentering. It states that nowhere on any place online at all I couldn't find it.


Item - Thunder Gem - Atlantica, It states on almost every place online the way to get thunder gems is kill enemies in Atlantica because thunder gems can be dropped by as it states on literally every online wiki lol by 4 of the enemies in the zone, This is untrue. The only enemies that can drop thunder gems in atlantica is aquatank and screwdiver no other enemy can drop it at all. Trust me I killed over 300 of each of them just to make sure lol

Sniper Wild - Power stone - Traverse Town district 2, All of online for this guy states various ways to obtain power stones the easiest. All of the strats though are absolutely not great and mine works best in terms of time and efficiency. The advice online for this guy is to use stop or hide on top of the building and wait for the nemy to come close which btw I tried both and unless your level 80+ by the time you need the power stone which you won't be lol i first timed the game blind and needed them at level 41, Then you pretty much have no chance to kill them using stop it is literally impossible ^^ unless your literally on easy mode. Instead just enter zone 2 and if it's there just walk up to the ledge and target lock him and wait until he turns his back to the left side ledge because that's when he will stare into the centre then run up the left side ledge and spam thundara if you use gear that increases magic ability and MP it should only take 4 clicks of thundara to kill it. Then just leave through the door you came in go to the moogle sythesis shop and head back into zone 2 otherwise he won't respawn at all and it saves you having to reload the world. If you get caught and stared at just run. Saves a ton of heartache it's not worth the fight.

Story Boss - Dark Riku - Hollow Bastion, The strats on this guy to beat this guy are not great, He's actually an incredibly tough fight especially on normal+, The gripe I have with the online information regarding him which I checked after beating him and watching other people fight it online was, Most people indicated you can only riposte 1 of his attacks? This is untrue, You can riposte every single attack he can do or guard against it, Except for the one where all the dark zone appear on the ground, You can't riposte that attack but you can certainly counter his every other attack. I did so ^^

Trivial - Halloween town - Lanterns at the gate, There is a few lanterns at the gate of halloween town, To which every online source states "it doesn't do anything", That is wrong. Depending on what lantern the light is on will change some of the texts the NPC's speak to you with. It's almost nothing worth noting but I just wanted to point it out because the information stating they do nothing is untrue. It changes some very unimportant non story dialogues that could happen. I read them. The dialogue it changes is with the butler guy when entering the lab first time and the doctor. Not related to the story at all. It changes their dialogue at various points of that worlds objectives.

Mythril Stone - Agrabah - Pot Scorpion, It states online in order to get a mythril stone you have to beat him in which he has a 10% chance to drop one. Which is true, If you can break all the urns except the one the boss is under first it'll increase the chance of him dropping one which is also true, However what it doesn't state is there is a chance an urn can reward you with a myhtril stone for guessing the order correctly in which to destroy them and yes they have an order number to destroy them in which is rng but you'll get a 10% increase chance of urns dropping 1 also with each correct urn broken in that order, There's a 30% the urn will just drop one anyway for breaking them all before the boss one. It doesn't list that anywhere online lol

Grand Ghost - Monstro - Frost Stone, The strategy it says to use on this guy is cure magic and healing items, There is no strategy I could see anywhere that listed the best strat to use on him, Elixirs are best to use which brings me to my next point.

100 Acre Woods - Vegetable Field - Elixirs, It states online to pull the cabages and only the cabbages to farm elixirs, If you don't get items leave the book and area and go back in and try again. Although the cabbage part is correct, The world rerolls itself for just going back to the book map there's no need to leave the book completely, Also pumpkins also have an equal chance for elixirs not just cabbages but it states only cabbages everywhere.


I just wanted to point that stuff out for the actual correct information in hopes anybody who owns the wiki and stuff can re-update it with the correct information. Otherwise as a player especially on Sniperwild for new players to the series which still happens, They could be in a lot of pain and annoyance with the terrible strats that are available for it. because sniperwild is impossible to kill using stop on a normal play-through by the time you would need the items which would be around elvel 40-55 for most players and you couldn't reliably kill sniperwild with stop on normal+ until at least level 75+ and it's also way too time consuming compared to my simple strat that saves you a lot of time.

Anyway I posted this only in hopes it would help update online information with the correct info regarding those things so it can save the next person checking up items a ton of unnecessary time waste.

I don't remember the boss strat so I'm gonna let that to you but it lists the effect of each items for the Grand Ghost (and droprate), the drop rate given the pots of the pot scorpion, the mobs that drops the thunder stone accurately, the strat to easily find chimera (go in the area until no red trinity, then defeat a few mummies). There is also a strat of spam pausing the game for the black ballad.
