Is there something wrong with the drops from the Wight Knights and Gargoyles in TNBC? I've been fighting just them for over an hour (mostly; occasionally getting Black Truffles) but only ever seen an occasional Potion and Ether... And yes, I have all Lucky Strikes.

You could try the summon Bambi, the more you kill while they're out the more they'll drop items from that area. You should try that method in Chamber 6 in Monstro, you will get Lucid Gems in the pool there. it's easy to run through, summon, and then just going nuts with thundaga.
