Any chances that the Re:Fined mod will become compatible with the Steam release?

It was kind of a bummer to learn that one of the best mods aimed to smooth the experience with these games is not compatible with the Steam version. I heard there's an alternative called Re:Freshed, but appearently it's not as complete as Re:Fined, and if focuses mostly on bug fixes and pretty much it.

Will Re:Fined become compatible with the Steam version as well, or that's quite hard to tell?

it was apparently almost done before the patch arrived, and now they claim they have to start from the beginning again
