BBS is utterly unplayable
Got the chance to replay this collection thanks to the Steam family sharing system, after... What, like 6 years since I bought it on the PS4, back when I had one? Was really interested in playing it but the price was turning me away, so when I got the chance to play it for free thanks to that system I jumped right into it and DAMN, bruh.

This game crashes randomly, and checking people's complains over here in the Steam Discussions looking for fixes didn't help at all, nothing worked. I jumped straight into Birth By Sleep due to being my favorite, and after eight hours I couldn't even finish Terra's story due to the game crashing at random times. Sometimes it crashed after an hour or so of gameplay, other times it crashes after barely five minutes, but there seems to be no pattern behind the crashes.

With the game's lack of autosaves, I can't even FATHOM what would it be to go through all four games in the collection like this, and I'm throwing in the towel after 8 hours of nonstop crashes and losing progress. Now, wasn't this collection released some time ago in the Epic Games store? Did none of this get fixed after all that much time before the Steam release?

Because honestly, while I can't write a review due to me playing it through Steam Family Sharing, you can bet your #ss I'd be leaving a negative one if I could and instead just telling people to pick the physical release (if there's any) on consoles instead. How did this even happen? I'm legit curious.

I only crashed in KH1 and KH2. Didn't crash once in BBS. There has to be something on your end that just isn't validating correctly. I'm assuming you've done the usual validate, un/reinstall, etc. easy stuff, but I had to change some video settings to get everything to work good and now I don't really crash on anything. I can't remember for certain what I changed. But if it's not your specs on anything I'd just keep trying. Sometimes banging your head on a wall long enough actually helps lol

Try setting your monitor to 60hz
Set in game to 60fps
Turn off freesync or gsync outside the game
Enable v-sync within the game
Enable only borderless screen to avoid weird artifacts or glitches.

Should resolve all your issues with the crashes and stuttering. It have for me, so give it a try. {{Those old games are ported and remastered which takes longer for devs to fix when you push their limits. Just stay at those settings for the whole collection.}}
