For Hades, just use Pan's Limit and spam the top face button. You'll easily get more than enough points and it's much faster than waiting with Stitch in one wave.
No kidding? Like "alert noise" low health, or not quite that bad? Def gonna try this out next time.
Hades I was actually getting a good start on using that, I just got interrupted by Real Life Stuff and had to dip out of the tournament early. Good to know I was on the right track!
Anything for the Cerberus Paradox? I keep consistently getting like 100-200 points lower than what I need and it's driving me crazy. Does Jackpot or anything help with orb drops?
These three things and Poster Duty are the last things I have to do on the journal, lol. Silly me thinking Lingering Will would be the final holdout.
For me, the final boss of journal completion was the absolute marathon final cup that has changing rules. I finished it on my first attempt, but it was terrifying.
Got to 9500 on my last attempt, so it's definitely improving. I would have made it that time if I hadn't run out my hit counter (frikkin Crimson Jazz, please die forever) and lost on a technicality. Gonna give it another shot now and report back.
And yeah, very nervous about finally getting through the Hades Paradox. Having to fight the four FF characters all at once in the semi-finals has me Concerned.
For the semi-finals literally just let them come to you Reflect (once) and they'll all get stunned by the aoe. Do this once or twice, pop Limit Form then Sonic Rave to finish them off.
Took 2 reflects for me to kill Tifa and Yuffie, then a single sonic rave finished off Leon and Cloud.
For Cerberus, I just used Final Form, jump Magnega + Thundaga and it earned me enough points to get the sticker.
For Poster Duty, you need all forms maxed (specifically final and master), as soon as you start run to the right there's a poster around the corner. Aerial dodge and glide to the poster across the gap and then there's 3 posters on the left, aerial dodge and glide across the gap to the 3 posters, then travel to the left and get the single posters along the wall around towards the shops/tram, you should have 6 left. At the back of the moogle shop there's 3 posters, get those and then aerial dodge and glide to the 3 posters next to the tunnels entrance (should be to your left after the moogle shop posters). There's a video on it that I used for everything but the last 3, I'll try to find it.
Edit: found it. He skips the first poster I mentioned and has to go up top with the tram but it took me two tries with this routing. https://youtu.be/8ZAuc4WYdaU?si=v2mBqIs_iQNUnxC9
Okay, so I borked myself on that one because I forgot to switch Magnega back for Reflega on my shortcuts after I got the sticker for the Cerberus Paradox, and didn't notice until like round 40 of Hades Paradox. ^^;;; And I didn't want to restart the entire thing AGAIN, especially since I'd already hit the score I needed for the sticker, so I just muscled through it. Ended up trying to just focus on one person at a time and let the others get caught by splash damage from Explosion, plus tossing out some Thundagas before bringing out Limit Form. Reflect would have helped a *lot*.
Oh gosh, that looks better than the route I went with. ^^;; Definitely less winding; I kept getting caught on corners. I started on the corner behind me, then across to get all five on the neighboring building, the two over/next to the tram depot entrance, the four on the wall to the right of that, then glided over to the big archway and got a couple on the top there before doing the ones on the sides of the buildings leading down to the Sandlot entrance. Definitely took me more than two tries even with all the abilities maxed, but finally was able to manage it. I'll remember this route of yours for next time!
Thanks!
How's 3, btw? The series lost me with re:coded (loved the gameplay, Couldn't Even with the story) so I haven't played any of them since. But some of the stuff I've seen of 3 looks pretty fun, so I'm thinking of picking it up now that it's on Steam.
I'm also enjoying the combat way more than I did previously. It still feels a bit... Off? Compared to 2, but when you go from having EVERYTHING in 2 to having "just enough" in 3 it does feel bad. 1 to 2 felt fine, but 2 to 3 feels bad. I'm just at the Toy Story world now though, and it's feeling better than it did. I am only using the ReMind Ability Integration mod so I'm getting those finishers and mp upgrades from specific fights instead of all at once after the main game.
Hmmm. Okay, interesting. I know there were a lot of... let's say mixed feelings when the game first released, but I didn't know if that was more a story issue or a gameplay one. Guess it was a little bit of both. Like if it had been solidly like a re:coded issue, where the gameplay was excellent but the story was completely off the rails, that would be a no-brainer. This is just sounding more "meh" across the board.
I'm mostly interested just for a few like, "highlight moments" that I know about and am interested in playing through. Like I know you finally get to fight the fire and wind titans at Olympus and it's like, yes, I require this, lol. And the Flantastic Seven look frankly hilarious as a minigame Heartless concept, the cooking stuff with Remy cracks me up, and the worlds do look *very* nice and explorable. Then there are some character elements I want to check out in more detail, though I could admittedly just look up the cutscenes for those. So I guess it'll be a matter of if those "highlights" are solid enough to carry the more mid elements of the gameplay. =/
My biggest and only real gripe after playing on PC is how just absurdly awful Donald's VA is outside of cutscene (and in some cutscenes). Goofy and Sora sound fine. But Donald speaks one word at a time like he's reading the script. It's sooooooo jarring.
And apparently some of the reMind sections have God awful voice acting from Riku's VA, but I'm not there yet.
Okay, cool! That's all good to know; thanks for the info! I'll go ahead and keep 3 on my wishlist, then, and hang tight for a sale. I've got some time before I'll get to it anyway, with BBS and re:coded still to replay first. And thanks for the warning about some of the voice acting too. I lived through the glorious mid-nineties era of Terrible Video Game Voice Acting, but it's still rough to hear that it's happened to a big deal character like Donald in a modern game. =/ Wonder what was going on that made his VA whiff so bad.
