Menu Glitch in kh2
So after beating Port Royal for the first time and after a break, I went to Halloween Town, and the menu began to glitch, looked like a protype screen but it obviously had problems loading the menu correctly, it seems to happen to me when I leave and go to a different world or when I open the Journal, leaving the room doesn't seem to do anything I think.
Also when I leave the game the title screen also has trouble showing the copyright. When closing the whole game it goes away and it went away foir like one second after I died multiple times in raw, so I really have no idea what is going on here.
My PC (If you need to know this):
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT (VRAM 8GB)
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-8100K 3.60Ghz
RAM: 16GB (DDR4)

Sorry for not being able to answer this, I'm only piggybacking here...

Experiencing the same bug. Mine happened when loading back to the save point before advancing to Cave of Wonders in Agrabah. All the previous saves have the same effect now in their menus, didn't have that before. Even all the new ones. I started a new game and after being able to open the menu and getting access to Journal, the same happened.

Can confirm that the title screen is broken after that. Opening the Journal and getting a cutscene has the same effect to the menu.
It's annoying, but not game breaking as far as I can see. Would like it to be fixed though if anyone has any ideas. Seems like the common variable in here is that it happens after the first visit to Port Royal.

Here's my specs, if needed:
CPU: Ryzen 7 3700X
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060
RAM: 32GB (DDR4)
Found a possible short-term fix.
If you open the menu with keyboard, the menu is normal. But if you use controller at any point, it gets glitched again. Re-open the menu with keyboard to get it back to normal. The button for opening the menu on keyboard is "4".

Hope this helps, although it's kinda stupid fix.

Just tried it and it actually doesn't matter if you use "4", if I for tthe first tim e open the menu with the controller and then decide to open the journal with keyboard control, everything stays ok, so this seems to be a controller issue which is very weird.
What controller are you using? I am using an official ps4 controller

Same, I'm using original PS4 controller.

I might re-iterate, the first time I open the menu when re-loading back to the game, the menu is normal. After going to a sub-menu or changing area, it happens. If I back out of a sub-menu (like from the Journal) with the keyboard. the menu is normal. But if I ever happen to open or navigate the menu with controller after that, it starts happening again.

I tried messing with the controller schemes (what buttons it shows on the menu) but it didn't seem to affect it. This was because some people have reported that some sub-menus have changed to a different language at some point in CoM when having control scheme 3 in use.

Weird though that it started happening just recently.

Started getting this glitch last night after reaching the room for the data battles. Happened when I opened the menu then journal after the cutscene played entering the room. It was harmless for the most part, broken textures on the menu and subsequently the title screen - but if you continue to play the game it does crash from time to time.

I was bouncing between worlds and it crashed the following times before I stopped playing:
- entering the castle in TWTNW displayed a grey box in the middle of the screen very briefly (it was in place of the area name that flashes on screen) and the textures in the sky were all grey too. Opening the menu completely shut the game down.
- went into Space Paranoids to get the puzzle piece outside the pit cell and when I went back to the terminal in the pit cell to return to RG it crashed the game.

Saving frequently helps, but the random nature of the crashes makes it a bit annoying when I'm doing final things in the journal. Tested it a bit there on the Steam Deck and zero issues on that, but it's still present when I go back to the pc - using a PS5 controller.

I've tried playing with the settings as much as I can, but nothing seems to fix it as of yet.

Edit: just seen the other thread about it, so I guess the glitch has been around a while.

There was an update to NVIDIA graphics drivers few days ago, I updated them yesterday before going to sleep. Now the problems are gone.

Update your drivers and see if that helps.

Forme it crashed before the glitch, but appearently it was related to my driver which my driver told me was the case, however the new crash is very sudden and feels like it is getting closed, I got the Lion King Keyblade and decided to be save and save however when I went out of the received screen the game crashed.
I also have seen it happen in recom as well, seems to be overall a 1.5+2.5 problem
