How to do customize magic for kh1 and 2

Under customize tab on pause menu choose sora and then shortcuts. You can assign magic and items to the three buttons (four on KH2 and 3). I reccommend having a potion/hi-pot early on and then having cure on a dedicated button (I use triangle for cure) and having your favorite spammy magic (thunder, fire, or blizzard) on the other buttons. Change as needed through the game but get used to using the magic/item menus to reach more obscure spells.

Note: in the item/equipment menu on KH2 and onward theres an option to auto refil an item slot after using the item that makes you auto equip a new one after every fight. very useful.

Go into the pause menu out of combat. Go on customise and select whichever button and spell you require and it will change the shortcuts.
