Occasional random crashes during cutscenes. Anyone else?
Windows 10 Home x64
EVGA RT 4070
Intel i7-12700K
32GB DDR5
ASUS TUF Gaming Z690-Plus Wifi

I've only played KH1 and started KH2 but the game closes itself during cutscenes after like 30 minutes in KH2. It doesn't freeze or stop responding, just closes itself instantly to desktop. Really don't need this during Roxas munny grinding.

Someone mentioned in a previous thread about V-Sync with KH2. Try turning that the opposite of whatever its on now. If its off, turn it on, and vice versa, see if that fixes the issue for you.

I'm curious, does the V-sync option feel awful to you. Having the set frame rate to 60 while having it on feels horrendous and no where as smooth as the PS4 version. Having the frame rate set higher (120 or unlocked) with vsync on helps but randomly fixes itself to 60 when looking at certain areas of the zone.

You were right about Vsync being the cause though, thank you. Only wish the vsync wasn't like this.

the same thing happens in kh1, it closes itself to the desktop after playing like 30 minutes or more like you mentioned. Not just cut scenes but like if I exit off the in-game menu or exit out of a room. I'll try to V-sync like you guys talked about and see if it fixes the issue

Honestly, I never really jerk around with settings in games I play. I just install them and go. My PC tends to setup the most optimal way to play.

I will admit the EGS versions are slightly better than the Steam versions, because we have access to a lot more graphic options through the Nvidia experience. However, the steam versions for some reason, dont show up in that, so we are left with the base options and 3D controls in the control panel itself.
