Game suddenly stopped working (stuck on loading)

I bought the game recently and started with Birth By Sleep. Until yesterday, everything worked perfectly, with no issues whatsoever.

Now today, completely out of the blue, it stopped working. I can launch the game and reach the initial game selection screen, but when I try to launch 1, CoM, 2, or BBS, it is stuck indefinitely on the loading screen with the spinning heart in the bottom right. Days and Coded launch, for whatever reason. I have made no changes since yesterday that I am aware of.

How can this happen? What can I do? So far I tried running both Steam and the game as admin and verifying the installation files, both to no avail.

I'm having this same issue too, although I started out with KHFM; did you find a way to fix it? I'm on Windows 11 with an AMD video card.

EDIT: Figured it out! I added admin privileges and allowed full access to all of the .exe files for the games, as well as allow it for protected folder access in the Windows Security settings. I'm not sure why this solved it, or which one specifically was causing it, but these steps helped me get past the loading screen. I hope this helps for you!
